Viewing will be held from 4PM-6PM onWednesday, October 21th, 2009.

Funeral Service will be held at 6PM follwing the viewing.

*There will not be a procession.

At 9:20 AM Andy passed away.  He was very calm and was not in pain.

The family thanks everyone for all the prayers, support and warm messages. We ask that you give the family time to grieve and be together. Please do not come to the hosptital. We ask that only family and close friends be here with us now.

• Waiting for blood platelets to reach 100 so that he can go into surgery to relieve pressure in the brain. #
• We are treating aggressively, keep praying and give platelet donations. #

Andy is going through a lot of blood transfusions and blood platelet treatments. He’ll be needing more throughout this process so that he may go through treatments.

Blood platelets are needed and are sometimes low in stock and very expensive.  We’re asking everyone to donate blood platelets.  It’s just like donating plasma, where the blood goes out, platelets are extracted and then the blood is put back in the body without the platelets. It’s not a painful experience, but will make you cold so wear warm clothes!

Andy was diagnosed with APL Acute Leukemia. We are currently at MD Anderson in Houston. He has a bleed in his head that is causing pressure and slow hemorrhaging of the brain that is almost to the brain stem. The leukemia doctor thinks there is a chance. He is responding to the treatment and there is a high likelihood of brain damage. This is latest update we have received from the doctors this morning. There is still hope.

We thank you for all your prayers, love and support. The family is staying very strong.

The family is requesting no more visitors at this time.

We will be reading your messages to him this morning and all of them as they come in. It means so much to us.
