Status Update
October 18th, 2009 by admin

Andy was diagnosed with APL Acute Leukemia. We are currently at MD Anderson in Houston. He has a bleed in his head that is causing pressure and slow hemorrhaging of the brain that is almost to the brain stem. The leukemia doctor thinks there is a chance. He is responding to the treatment and there is a high likelihood of brain damage. This is latest update we have received from the doctors this morning. There is still hope.

We thank you for all your prayers, love and support. The family is staying very strong.

The family is requesting no more visitors at this time.

We will be reading your messages to him this morning and all of them as they come in. It means so much to us.

We’ll be donating for you Andy…Hank is a “universal” donor – “O” negative! Just checking to see if it might be better to donate there or here in Conroe.
If blood is the life of the heart…and the heart is the center of love…our LOVE will be there for you, Andy! We just want to make sure this “old” blood of ours is good enough for someone as young, strong and beautiful as you…LOL!!!!
You, Andy, are a beautiful, wonderful child of God….I keep praying that to our Lord and Savior…and even though He KNOWS this, I like to remind Him of it all the time!!!
Susan, Sam, Casey, Randy and Ken…hang in there and lean on your friends and family. They are God’s angels here to do whatever you need…NOTHING is too small to ask and ALL of us would be honored to do anything…something…for you! Reverse the situation and know that you would want to be asked to do anything…and you would do it!
Thank you to whoever is updating this site…what a blessing to all of us!
Love you all…love and prayers abound! Hank & Jewels

I and my friends are praying to The Great Healer, He whose stripes by which we are healed and saved, for peace, comfort, and above all, HEALING for you. Love is coming at you, kid! We are lifting you, your family, the doctors, the nurses, and all the invisible realm. Stay in faith.

Stories: Well, there is the time when we all drove to Galveston, me, your mom, Adam, and all of you, and you and Casey would NOT sit down and buckle up. Your mom stopped to buy shrimp and when I told you two to sit down, you? Casey? said “Make me!” Casey was the one that caught the swat on the backside; you were the first one to ask, out of the dead silence in the van, “So…did it hurt?” I think you were setting up your brother….

And then there was the infamous “break into the Pt. Aquarius clubhouse after Halloween for the extra candy” incident….

    Ah, memories!

    Joy anne Love to you!
